Don’t Steal My Future training workshop is a powerful 2 - 3 hour impact driven training workshop which is being delivered to Children and Young people from the age of 11 and upwards. We have a team of trainers experienced in working with survivors of sexual violence delivering this training to schools, colleges, universities and sports clubs across North Wales.
The package includes interactive learning, real life examples and lots of useful information presented in sensitive manner to help educate attendees of what is sexual violence, the prevalence and the impact for not only survivors of sexual violence but also for offenders and their families.
The workshop is impact driven and discusses topics such as:
- What is Sexual Violence?
- Why does it matter to me?
- Peer Pressure
- Coercive and Controlling Behaviour - What it is, impact of it, healthy/unhealthy relationships
- Use and dangers of pornography, and the effects on the brain
- Developing awareness, skills and confidence in recognising peer pressure/abuse and addressing it
- Effects/impact of sexual violence - for both survivors and the offenders
- Gender roles – misogyny/misandry, sexism and the impact of this type of behaviour
- Spiking - informed consent
- Sexting and nudes - including what are the legal guidelines
- Consent - including what are the legal guidelines
- Why people don't report
- North Wales police data
- Support available
- Taking the pledge
The conclusion of the workshop features a unique pledge not to steal anyone’s future, so that everyone can live a life free of fear of sexual violence. We hope it will be the seismic shift we need in reducing sexual violence, particularly towards women and girls who make up the large proportion of the population affected by these crimes.
As a charity in North Wales, one of our main objectives is to raise awareness of Sexual Violence and Abuse, to reduce and eliminate its occurrence. This opportunity is available free of charge to schools, colleges, universities and clubs, for children and young people from the age of 11+ across North Wales.

Feedback and Testimonials:
The campaign has been a huge success, below is feedback and data received since its introduction in July 2022:
“Having been made aware of the Don’t Steal my Future workshop I was very keen to bring it into Ysgol ***** to support Y11, 12 and 13."
The training did not disappoint, ***** has been amazing, she has accommodated fitting in to the school schedule and has delivered 7 sessions in total, some with ***** and others on her own. The sessions were full of interesting and factual information with impactful case studies that made the students sit up and take note. They particularly enjoyed the Kahoot sessions, it was interesting to see how they changed their Kahoot names as the session went on to be more considerate and appropriate."
"We may never know the long-term impact of these sessions but it is clear that the powerful message came through. We have seen a difference in the behaviour in our 6th formers, with them calling out inappropriate behaviour when they see it."
Feedback from other members of the teaching staff has been that the learners have been discussing the content of the sessions in form time. Verbal feedback from the learners has been that they found the sessions:
“Really useful, quite intense”
“Informative”
“I thought I knew a lot, until I took the workshop today”
“Thank you for coming to talk to us. I was groomed online and it’s really important for my friends to know the dangers of this.” - Year 8 pupil
"This course saved my daughter's life. I'd like to thank RASA for bringing this to our school. " - Parent
"I am buzzing with ideas about how we can continue to spread awareness and create a culture of conversation about 'Don't Steal My Future's message and RASASC's work here at our school." - Teacher
‘I found it really interesting. I promise to take the pledge not to steal anyone’s future. Thank you for coming to our school.’ - Year 10 student male
“I’m glad they talked about drink spiking and gave us some free stuff that we can actually use when we go out”
‘I know a lot of my friends share sexts and nudes and it’s made me feel really uncomfortable. Thank you for talking to us about it. During break we talked about this and I think it made some of them realise that this wasn’t OK!’ - Year 9 pupil
"The pupil's have benefitted so much from the educational content of the workshops. They responded with maturity to the topics covered and empathy towards the real life case studies. Many pupils stated that whilst they found the statistics shocking, the workshop allowed them an opportunity to reflect on, consider and evaluate the safety of their social behaviour, how they engage with others and how they will approach all relationships in the future. " - Head of Year
Another way of measuring the impact is through the number of young people who stayed to talk to ***** and ***** or went to see our safeguarding officer after the workshop. Clearly there is a need for this training. I would not hesitate to recommend ***** in delivering this workshop and as a school we are hoping to invite her back to deliver the session each year.” - RSE Lead
"The students have benefitted so much from the educational content of the workshops. They responded with maturity to the topics covered and empathy towards the real life case studies. Many students stated that whilst they found the statistics shocking, the workshop allowed them an opportunity to reflect on, consider and evaluate the safety of their social behaviour, how they engage with others and how they will approach all relationships in the future. Ultimately, ***** and ***** approachable, encouraging and friendly delivery style made the content accessible, relatable and relevant for all. This is a crucial step for us as college, in our ongoing mission of promoting a safe social culture for all of our pupils. We will maintain our link with RASAC and will endeavour to use the don't steal my future message as a driving force within our school well-being ethos.” - Headteacher
