Educational Workshops

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre, North Wales (RASASC NW) offer workshops that run online at different times in the year.  The workshops are open to anyone accessing our services or who have been impacted by sexual violence and abuse.

Sessions are available in Welsh and English.

Trauma and the Brain

To provide an overview of trauma responses and the long-term impact trauma can have on the brain

Trauma and memory

To provide an overview of how trauma can impact memory.

Anxiety and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique)

To understand physical reactions/responses of anxiety as well as coping strategies and techniques to help manage symptoms of anxiety.

Shame and blame

To understand the complex layers of shame and blame in relation to sexual violence and abuse.

Sleep and Nightmares

This workshop explores the connection between sleep, nightmares, and trauma in a supportive, grounding environment. Participants learn why unsettling dreams can occur, and how to build healthier nighttime routines. Through gentle discussion and practical strategies, the session helps people understand their experiences and develop tools to feel more settled and in control at night.

Self Esteem and Trauma

This workshop explores how trauma can shape a person’s sense of self and offers a supportive space to rebuild confidence from the inside out. Through reflective exercises and gentle discussion, participants learn how past experiences influence self esteem and discover practical strategies for cultivating self worth, resilience, and a more compassionate inner voice.
